Securing your deposit

When you lodge your bond with us it is protected under a Government approved Deposit Protection Scheme, as required under current legislation.

How the scheme works:

• We will issue you with a Deposit Protection Certificate within 14 days of your tenancy starting to confirm the protection of your deposit whilst it is held by us.
• We will ask you to countersign the Protection Certificate to confirm that the details are correct.
• When your tenancy ends we will conduct an "exit inspection" to confirm that all is well with the property and then refund the deposit in full unless there are repairs that you need to pay for.
• You will normally receive your deposit back within 10 days of your tenancy ending.
• If you are not satisfied with the landlords explanation for withholding all or part of your deposit, you can ask Tenancy Deposit Solutions Ltd for advice and assistance on how to resolve the issue, in the first instance.
• If this fails to resolve the matter, Tenancy Deposit Solutions offers a free and impartial Dispute Resolution Service to Tenant and Landlords/Agents.
